Who Are We?

	Senior Pastor Pastor Derrick Hamre was raised in Kelowna, went to Western Pentecostal Bible College and Regent College to study. He has been married for 15 years and has 3 small children. He has been a pastor in Alberta and B.C. and taught for 6 years at a Christian college. He has been at Emmanuel for 9 years quarterbacking it through growth and transition. Pastor Derrick is also part of the BC/Yukon District Leadership Team. His wife, Sara-Lee, is actively involved in ministry at Emmanuel Assembly in areas like worship, teaching and hospitality. Together, they host a New Comer's group at their home every week for those that are new or are considering coming to Emmanuel.
	Spiritual Formation Pastor Jeff Bjorgan is the newest member of our staff, arriving at Emmanuel in May 2006. He is the pastor of spiritual formation, a portfolio that oversees the discipleship aspects of the church. Jeff is married to Nikki and they have four children –three boys and a girl. Jeff graduated from Western Pentecostal Bible College in 1996 and most recently completed his MCS at Regent College.
	Community Pastor Derek Koch was raised in Maple Ride and has been serving on the pastoral team at Emmanuel for 11 years. His new ministry position, community pastor, is focused on developing and implementing strategies that engage the community through evangelism and social justice. Derek is married to Irislee and has four children. He graduated from Western Pentecostal Bible College in 1994.
	Visitation Pastor Clayton & Sandra Packer. Clayton was raised in Kelowna and Sandra in Golden, but both completed their high school education in Kelowna. Both took their training at Western Pentecostal Bible College. Following their education, they married and subsequently have pastored for 25 years in British Columbia [Port Moody, Houston and Vernon]. The Packers are parents to 3 children, Garrett, Trisha, and Dustin. The Packers are delighted to be a part of the pastoral team at Emmanuel and look forward to meeting with you and visiting with you over a cup of coffee.
	Youth & Young Adult Pastor Andy Peters was raised in B.C., Alberta, Ontario, and Austria. He went to WPBC and YWAM Jamaica for training. He has been married to Cheryl for 4 years and was a missionary in Austria and Romania. He overseas the Youth Ministry (Grades 7-12) and is actively involved at both Middle Schools and Mount Boucherie Highschool on the Westside.
